We seek to provide the highest level of service to our clients to help them achieve their investment objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senior Investment Accountant is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate reporting and analysis related to investment accounting. This role specifically addresses the investments held in the General Account of our insurance company clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022General Account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Responsible for various aspects of accounting, reporting and analytics of the fixed income and equity investment portfolios<br>\u2022Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals for various funds and investments<br>\u2022Review and correct vendor accounting data by performing validations and enhancing various pre-close tasks<br>\u2022Prepare Fair Value adjustments required for impaired securities<br>\u2022Perform the accounting for IMR and AVR<br>\u2022Account for Limited Partnerships, Private Placements, and other Alternative investments<br>\u2022Prepare monthly accounting statements and ensure proper reinsurance settlements<br>\u2022Prepare, review, and validate Investments Schedules for Statutory Filings, including Investment Income Exhibits, Realized\/Unrealized Gain\/Loss Exhibits and prepare related footnote disclosures<br>\u2022Assist with monitoring and replacing securities in statutory deposits<br>\u2022Validation of Vendor\u2019s financial reports<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Other:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Document policies &amp; procedures<br>\u2022Assist in developing ad hoc analysis at client\u2019s request<br>\u2022Assist in satisfying the requests of internal and external auditors<br>\u2022Assist Financial Reporting with completing rating agency surveys (i.e..; S&amp;P, Fitch, AM Best)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>BS\/BA Degree in Accounting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Very strong investment accounting experience with 3-5 years in insurance investment accounting for the General Account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High technical aptitude<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong Excel skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical and sound decision making skills, ability to work independently<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written &amp; oral communication with strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>CPA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with VBA, SQL and Bloomberg functionality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What We Offer You:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive base salary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Annual Bonus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comprehensive Benefits Package (medical, dental, and vision)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>401(k) Contribution: You will be eligible to receive up to 3% of your pay (salary and incentive compensation) in company contributions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid time off: 20 days plus two floating personal holidays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this role.
