{"id":1082,"date":"2021-12-13T15:33:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T15:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/winthropcm.com\/insights\/?p=1082"},"modified":"2021-12-14T15:37:55","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T15:37:55","slug":"job-opening-investment-analyst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/winthropcm.com\/insights\/job-opening-investment-analyst\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opening &#8211; Investment Analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Job Type: Full-Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The position of investment analyst at Winthrop Capital Management (WCM) is an entry level position designed to provide candidates with a challenging, meaningful and supportive opportunity to build a career in the investment management business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The position requires a disciplined, organized, and engaged individual who can contribute positively to our culture in a team-oriented environment.&nbsp; The successful candidate should have the ability to contribute in a positive manner to our culture by operating consistently within established processes, holding oneself accountable, and seeking to continually learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Assist in the maintenance of asset allocation models and portfolio structures.<\/li><li>Assist in the design and testing of Winthrop Technology Solution\u2019s proprietary portfolio and risk analytic software called Wombat.<ul><li>Analyze performance and risk attributes of portfolio total return<\/li><li>Detailed analysis of duration and yield calculations for securities in portfolios<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Review portfolio compliance relative to compliance rules for each account<\/li><li>Responsible for automating and testing the batch reporting system for client portfolios<\/li><li>Reconcile performance numbers on a monthly basis across 500 accounts between the current performance measurement system and our proprietary performance analytics system called Wombat.<\/li><li>Update security and portfolio analytics.<\/li><li>Maintain risk models for portfolios.<\/li><li>Support the Chief Compliance Officer with producing documentation for the registered investment company\u2019s quarterly compliance with Securities Exchange Commission rules.<\/li><li>Provide support to portfolio managers and analysts as needed.<\/li><li>Assist in quarterly client reporting process.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>1-3 years of experience in the investment industry<\/li><li>Possession of bachelor\u2019s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business<\/li><li>Solid mathematics and quantitative skills<\/li><li>Exceptional organizational skills<\/li><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word<\/li><li>Desire to pursue CFA<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>To apply for this position, please send an updated resume to<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>&nbsp;Amy Anderson at:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:aanderson@winthropcm.com\">aanderson@winthropcm.com<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All resumes are considered confidential.
