Greg is responsible for setting investment strategy and managing internal processes for portfolio management and security selection for the firm.
Prior to forming Winthrop Capital Management, Greg was the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager for Oppenheimer Asset Management and its subsidiary, Oppenheimer Investment Management. There he was responsible for the oversight of the fixed income investment process. Greg also served as the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager with Conseco Capital Management (40|86 Advisors). In addition to his investment management responsibilities at CCM, Greg was President and Trustee of the 40|86 Series Trust and the 40|86 Strategic Income Fund. Also, Greg had responsibility for the $1.2 billion real estate and private equity portfolio.
He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. from Indiana University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member and former President of the CFA Society of Indianapolis, a former Trustee of the Indiana Public Employee Retirement System and has served as a member on the ACLI’s Committee on State Regulation of Investments. In addition, he serves as an independent trustee of the FEG Absolute Access Fund, LLC and is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Greg has over 30 years of investment management experience.
Adam’s primary responsibilities include trading, securities research, and risk analytics for the fixed income portfolios, investment manager research and due diligence. He also assists the Chief Investment Officer in developing strategies for the fixed income and equity portfolios. Adam is responsible for research in the Technology, Telecomm and Industrial sectors. Adam received his B.S. in Finance from IUPUI in Indianapolis, Kelley School of Business. He is a CFA candidate and will be taking Level III in the summer of 2018. Adam has been with the firm since October 2013.
Marco’s primary responsibilities include quantitative research and risk analytics for the fixed income and equity portfolios. He also assists the Chief Investment Officer in developing strategies for the fixed income and equity portfolios. In addition, Marco has research responsibilities for the Retail, Cable and Financial sectors. Marco is also responsible for performance attribution and performance evaluation reporting. Marco received his B.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University and B.A. in Economics from Indiana University. He is a CFA candidate and will be taking Level II in the summer of 2018.
Lance is a research analyst primarily responsible for assisting with securities research and portfolio risk analytics, and investment manager research and due diligence. Lance manages the quantitative risk analytics for portfolios and performance benchmarks. In addition, he assists with security analysis for both equity and fixed income. He is responsible for research in the Basic Materials, Financial, Energy, and Industrial sectors. Lance received his B.A. in Economics from Indiana University in Bloomington. He is a CFA candidate and passed Level III in the summer of 2016. Lance has passed both levels of the Financial Risk Management (FRM) exam, and is a Certified FRM®.
Freddy’s primary responsibilities include securities research for fixed income and equity portfolios and assisting portfolio managers with day-to-day analysis of portfolios. Additionally, he assists the Chief Investment Officer in developing strategies, trading, and managing municipal bond portfolios. He executes the trade settlement process and is responsible for reconciliation and reporting for client portfolios. Additionally, Freddy is responsible for analysis in the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical sectors. He received his B.A. in Economics from DePauw University. He is a CFA candidate and will be taking Level I in the December of 2018.
Charles is an investment analyst primarily responsible for assisting with portfolio performance and risk analytics. Charles is tasked with managing performance attribution for both fixed income and equity portfolios. Charles is also responsible for analysis in corporate high yield debt. In addition, he assists with trade settlement. Charles received his B.A. in both Economics and Mathematics from Butler University.
John leads the software development initiative within Winthrop Technology Solutions and Winthrop Capital Management. In his responsibilities, John leads the team and the development of the WOMBAT™ system and our proprietary compliance software. John received his B.S. in Chemistry from Purdue University.
